2007 Fall Season

Dear parents,
Summer is coming to a close and Fall traveling basketball will soon
be starting. There will be some changes in the coaching staff this fall
season. Aurimas Matulevicius has accepted an offer to coach the
Panevezys professional team in Lithuania and will no longer be working
with our kids. The club would like to thank Aurimas for his energy and
devotion to coaching and wish him the best of luck in his new endeavor.
Stepas Zilys is presently also evaluating an offer to coach
professionally in Palanga. As of the writing of this letter, his status
for the fall season is unclear.
Casey Babarskis has been given more responsibilities at the
Bulls Academy and will no longer be able to coach Lituanica.
Several parents and others have agreed to help fill holes in the
coaching ranks until we can find some new full time coaches for our
boy’s teams. The club is presently actively searching for new
individuals interested in coaching. If anyone is aware of such
individuals please ask them to contact me.
The Lituanica 5th thru 8th grade girls will be merging with the Lady
Renegades traveling club. Sandy DeCrane will be coaching these teams.
She is an excellent coach and all practices will be on Tuesdays and
Thursdays at PLC. She will be holding tryouts at PLC on Tuesday Sept 4th
& Thursday Sept. 6th. 5th & 6th girls will tryout from 6:30-8:00pm and
7th & 8th grade girls will tryout from 8:00-9:30pm. I would ask all of
our girls to give this new option a try.
The fall season for the boy‘s teams will begin on Tuesday September 4th.
The fall season will end November 21sth. Practice schedules are
included.

Fall registrations for boys‘ traveling are now being accepted. Please
complete the registration form and either mail it to me or turn it in to
one of the coaches before the first practice. Late registrations will be
charged an additional fee. Checks should be written to ASK Lituanica.
